Pond Creek, Ky  — Lawrence Co. ( 16-7 ) picked up a huge 15th Region road win 11-8 over Belfry ( 19-3 ) to snap a two game losing streak Thursday night as the Lady Dawgs knocked around Ohio Valley University signee Kailee Rash.
Ashley Hayes had three hits in a win over Belfry Thursday.

For the Lady Bulldogs offensively Halli Caudill, Ashley Hayes and Mackenzie Methax led the hit parade with 3 hits each, Abby and Kassidy Cavins had 2 hits apiece, Kensley Feltner and Lillian Kinser both had 1 hit.

7th Grader Shelby Blevins pitching her first varsity game picked up the win after replacing Hayes in the first inning.

The Lady Bulldogs will return to action Tuesday hosting District foe Floyd Central.

Halli Caudill has been a force from her leadoff spot for Lawrence Co. this season.
Lawrence Co. Head Coach Kenny Horn
COACH’S COMMENTS
“… Great win tonight! Jumped on them early and kept pounding out hits! Very excited to see 7th grader Shelby “ICE” Blevins take care of business in her first varsity appearance in the Circle. Lilian Kinser made a great play in left, Kensley Feltner looked like Jeter at Shortstop and the rest of the team played clean on defense. Mackenzie Methax continues to pound out big hits. It was good to see Ashley Hayes have 3 hits, and I have never had a kid like Halli Caudill on the bases, she puts so much pressure on the other team.”
