LOUISA DAR HONORS WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH AT MARCH MEETING

DAR APRIL, 7, 2019

DAR hostesses for the march meeting were Rosie Pfost and Sabrina May.

The March meeting was held at the Louisa First Baptist Church Cafe on March 26th at 6:00 pm. The meeting was called order by Regent Sabrina May and the DAR ritual was read by members.

The Hostesses were Rosie Pfost and Sabrina May.

To honor Women’s History Month they set a display of pictures and items. Sabrina and Rosie prepared a great assortment of ham sliders, pimento cheese sandwiches, pasta salad, chips, fruit, pineapple sheet cake, and cupcakes.

Myrtle Walker gave a report about her project in April that is with the teachers of the Trinity Christian School. Lynn Courtney read the minutes. Evelyn DeBoard gave the Treasurer’s report and Sheila Kensinger read the Sunshine report.

 

Sabrina, Kate Dilley (employee) Ernie, the good luck Elephant (Aaron Hatfield) Patricia Hatfield, and Myrtle Walker at the St.Patricks Day party for residents at the Jordan Center.

Theresa Chaffin gave the National Defense report on Women of the Revolution. 

Lynette Chaffin gave the Indian Minute report about the art and life of Walking Stick.

The report for the Patriotic Committee was read by Sabrina May in the absence of Freddie Daniels. 

The election for all offices will be held at the meeting in April. The deadline to pay for the dinner in May is May 16th.

The next meeting will be April 23rd at the First Baptist Church Cafe at 6:00.
