On Thursday, April 4th, 2019, Tolsia High School put on its production of Beauty and the Beast directed by Teresa Muncy, drama instructor.  Mrs. Muncy said, “I am beyond proud of these students.  They had to put on a total of three performances in one day.  They worked so hard and did a wonderful job!”

Mrs. Teresa Muncy, Drama instructor

Mrs. Muncy noted that this was not just a drama club production, but a whole school production.  She noted, “…I couldn’t have made it happen without the help of the students, the faculty, Mr. Crum’s carpentry class, Mr. Maynard’s Business Management classes, Sgt. Major Francis and Sgt. Lambert’s JROTC Program, Mr. Justin Prince’s Broadcasting classes, and Ms. Hazel Damron of WFGH.  This play really involved the entire school.”  She also wanted to thank local organizations for helping them with their equipment, like microphones.  Saltpetre Community Church, as well as, rival Tug Valley High school pitched in to help pull off the production.

When speaking with some of the members of the cast of the play, they all agreed that it was hard work, but they had a great time and hoped everyone enjoyed it!

Kyndra Fields as Lumiere, Alex Miller as Beast, and Savannah Stroud as Cogsworth.
