GOFORTH CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES FIRST TELEVISION AD
“Roots” ad begins today on cable and network markets across Kentucky
LONDON- Rep. Robert Goforth (R-East Bernstadt), who is challenging Gov. Matt Bevin in the May 21st Republican Primary, launched his campaign’s first television ad Wednesday morning in statewide cable markets and select regional network markets.
“Roots” is the first ad from any of the Republican gubernatorial candidates to air on television.
The ad highlights Goforth’s family roots in Southeast Kentucky and draws a sharp contrast between Goforth and the New England-born Gov. Matt Bevin.
Rep. Robert Goforth: I’m Robert Goforth. Working on my farm reminds me of family’s deep roots here in Southeast Kentucky.
Woman: Robert, why are you running for Governor?
Rep. Robert Goforth: Sandy, it’s time we have a Governor from Kentucky and Main Street, not New England and Wall Street. As Governor, I’ll never turn my back on Kentucky’s hardworking families.
Voiceover: It’s time we had a Governor from Kentucky—for Kentucky. Vote Robert Goforth. A bold, conservative leader.
