On March 14, 2019 members of D.I.C.E set out on a warrant round up arresting four subjects on the list with two of the subjects gaining new charges.
Arrested were Jonie Collinsworth (3 warrants) and James West (1 warrant) of Louisa both with outstanding warrants. As part of an ongoing investigation by the Lawrence County Sheriff Office, members of D.I.C.E. also arrested Joshua Fetherolf 34 of Meads Branch charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Off (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Fetherolf also had an outstanding warrant.
Also arrested was Joseph Kevin Marcum 42 of Blaine Creek Road, charging him with Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Off (Meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Fleeing or Evading Police (foot pursuit) 2nd degree, Marcum fled from police as they were executing the warrant on Fetherolf. Charges remain under investigation by Deputy Mason Keefer.
Warrant Roundup.>>..HaHa. These people have had the warrants for several months and the police knew exactly where they were. They need to go through the warrants/indictments and start serving the ones that have been there for months instead of letting them run loose. Guess still to earlier to turn their back on his supporters and do his job…lol. The officers are not doing anything different then had been done before. Lazer ask them to do a summary of their arrest and warrants served so far this year. Lets see if they are doing more, same or LESS than had been done in previous years.
Your frustration is understood my friend, but you have to understand what the authorities are up against. Month in month out they arrest these people often after an investigation, witness testimony and gathered evidence only to be shot down thru plea deals, amended charges, and often times dismissing of charges all together. The Lawrence county court system and the presiding judge Preston have turned this judicial system into a circus and a mockery to the point that where its the butt of jokes throughout the Commonwealth. After all when defendants openly predict their sentence under this judge with astounding accuracy what doea that tell you? The police can arrest these offenders, but when they know its a waste of their time resources, and taxpayer money I’m surprised they even have incentive left to bother.
