Carolyn June Preece, 83, of Louisa, KY passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019.

Mrs. Preece was born November 22, 1935 in Louisa, Kentucky to the late Cecil Harmon Carter and the late Zona Geneva Roberts Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Preece and one sister, Donna Jean Carter.  

 

She is survived by one son, James “Sonny” (Linda) Preece; three daughters Crystal (David) Kazee, Candice Jones, and Sandra (Tony) Boggs; three grandchildren, Lashea (Heath) Hudnall, Roy (Jordanne) Spillman, Jr., and Brooke Spillman,  two step-grandchildren, Wallace and Jessica Kazee; and five great-grandchildren.                                             

 

Mrs. Preece was a Christian all of her life, she was saved on May 1, 1949 at Carters Chapel Church.  She was a member of the Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church, and was retired from the Louisa Sewing Factory.  She was a very caring person and will be missed by all who knew her. 

 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, KY with Rev. Doug Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Yatesville Memorial Gardens.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, March 2 after 5:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.

    So very sorry to hear of Carolyn June’s passing. We went to school together and graduated from LHS, class of 52. Carolyn was a dear friend that always had a smile on her face and kind words to speak. My prayers go out to her family at this time and I pray God will comfort them through this loss.
