TOLSIA’S SARAH JUDE PASSES 1,000 POINT THRESHOLD

FORT GAY, W. VA. — The Tolsia Lady Rebels ( 14-6 ) came away victorious 61-17 over Rose Hill ( 10-15 ) Monday on Senior night at Rebel Arena.

Lady Rebels lone Senior Sarah Jude was recognized before the game and scored 7 points, Lynndsey Cassell tallied 17 points, Julie Boone and Katelyn Kelly scored 6 points each, Trinity Muncy, and Kylea Pollinger scored 4 points each, Hayley Collie 3 points, Elizabeth Johnson, Taylor Ball and Kenzie Young chipped in with 2 points each.

The Lady Rebels led 42-9 at half as they substituted freely the entire first half.

In the second with the clock running Tolsia out scored the Lady Royals 19-8.

FORT GAY, WVA. — Lawrence Co. ( 18-9 ) completed the sweep of Tolsia ( 13-6 ) Saturday night at Rebel Arena as the Lady Rebels honored Senior Sarah Jude for scoring her 1,000 career point against Tygarts Valley.

Lawrence Co. was led by Lexie Ratliff 19 points including 7-7 from the charity stripe, Kensley Feltner netted 13 points including 5-5 from the free throw line, Brooke Neal and Kyleah Ward 9 points each, Sheree Hay 5 points, Kylie Maynard 3 points and Kaison Ward 2 points.

The Lady Dawgs hit 1 three pointer and went 19-25 from the line.

Tolsia was led by Lynndsey Cassell with 23 points, Katelyn Kelly 5 points, Sarah Jude, Julie Boone, and Trinity Muncy 4 points each, Jace Litton and Kylea Pollinger 3 points each, Selena Browning 2 points.

The Lady Rebels went 12-24 from the line and hit 4 three pointers.

Tolsia will finish out the regular season Wednesday at Logan before stating postseason play next Monday.

Lawrence Co. will host Magoffin Co. tonight, before traveling to Tug Valley, W. Va. on Thursday.

“… Very proud of Sarah and her accomplishments. The 1,000 points go along with her nearly 600 rebounds. She is easily one of the most versatile players in the state. She can play the 1-5 position effectively. The best thing is she is a great player , and an even better person. She has worked hard and The Lady Rebel Program is extremely proud of her.”
