Ms. Phyllis A. Wilks, 72, of Ashland, KY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Community Hospice in Ashland, KY.

Phyllis was born December 20, 1946 in Arm, Mississippi to the late Wayne and Johnnie Diamond. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Henry Wilks; son John Wilks, Jr.; daughter in law Ester Wilks; 1 grandson; 1 great grandchild; sisters Mary Church, Linda Spradlin, and Gloria Neal; and brothers Wendell Miller and David Neal. 

Surviving are her daughters Deborah Lynn (Howard) Young, Patty Ann (Jerry) Wright, Jonda Elkins, Kathy Marie Wilks, Teresa Gail (Rick O’Bryan) Robinson, Angela Wilks, and Sandra Dee Caudill; sons William Jerry Wilks, Wayne Wilks, and Danny Lee Wilks; 29 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters Jewell Smith, Cathy Whitley, Sandy Haynes, Mary Ann McNeese, and Marie Ridgedale; and brothers Charles Diamond, Jewel Dale Neal, Billy Joe Neal, Jeffrey Neal, and Howard Neal. 

Funeral services for Ms. Wilks will be Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Noah Wilks and Brother Ralph Hogsten officiating. Burial will follow in the Wilks Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel. 

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Wilks.
