NEW LAWRENCE COUNTY SHERIFF MAKES FIRST ARREST OF 2019 IN LAWRENCE COUNTY (AND ALSO FIRST IN THE BIG SANDY REGION AS WELL!)
In the first 8 days from 12:01 A.M. January 1, 2019 thru to 11:59 P.M. January 8, there were at least 100 individuals who were arrested and were brought to be lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of those 100, 14 of those arrested (for 15 arrests) were from Lawrence County.
Another 2 Lawrence County residents were arrested in neighboring counties ( 1 in Johnson County and 1 in Boyd County ).
The names and criminal charges of the latest 14 (15) Lawrence County arrests, as well as the 2 Lawrence County residents arrested in neighboring county jurisdictions, are as the following:
Ronald Ratliff, 51, of Louisa, was arrested on January 1, 2019, at 12:14 A.M., by Sheriff Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT.
Vickie Gayle Vanhorn, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on January 1, 2019, at 3:29 A.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS,
• TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE,
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED,
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Elouise Scott, 35, of Louisa, was arrested on January 1,2019, at 3:36 A.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS
Jerry L. Levering, 59, of Louisa, was arrested on January 1, 2019, at 3:48 A.M., by sergeant Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Jerry Levering was also served indictment warrants on separate yet the same exact charges at 9:09 A.M. at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.
Green W. Ramey, 38, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2, 2019, at 12:14 A.M., by deputy Mason Keefer of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$10,000,
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000,
• THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION AUTO – $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000, • PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER I.
Travis Falls, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on January 2, 2019, at 11:29 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL,
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE (METHAMPHETAMINE).
Gregory Luke Thompson, 21, of Louisa, was arrested on January 3, 2019, at 6:21 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 20 D.U. DRUG UNSPECIFIED SCHEDULE 3),
• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.
Nathaniel M. Pack, 35, of Louisa, was arrested on January 3, 2019, at 9:06 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY,
• RESISTING ARREST,
• MENACING.
Billy R. Fannin, 48, of Martha, Kentucky, was taken into custody and booked on January 4, 2019, at 6:55 P.M., on January 11,2019, at 8:00 P.M., and January 19, 2019, at 12:42 A.M., at the Lawrence County Court, by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, to serve jail time on a guilty plea:
• CONTEMPT OF COURT LIBEL/SLANDER RESISTANCE TO ORDER.
Jonathon Dean Acord, 18, of Louisa, was arrested on January 6, 2019, at 7:22 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• NO OPERATORS-MOPED LICENSE,
• OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE,
• NO REGISTRATION PLATES,
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF 3RD DEGREE.
Clinton Jay Perkins, 35, of Louisa, was arrested on January 7, 2019, at 7:28 A.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with:
• ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) NO VISIBLE INJURY.
Ronnie B. Shannon, 23, of Louisa, was taken into custody and booked on January 7,2019, at 6:52 P.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, to serve jail time on a guilty plea:

Tonja K. Blevins, 49, of Louisa, was arrested in Johnson County on January 1,2019, at 4:34 P.M., by an officer of the Paintsville Police Department,and was charged with:

Katlin Ray Roop, 25, of Louisa, was arrested in Boyd County on January 4, 2019, at 10:41 P.M., by a deputy of the Boyd County Sheriff Department, and was charged with:
• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),
• POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN),
