MARTIN CO. MAN ARRESTED ON METH, WANTON ENDANGERMENT CHARGES

WOLF CREEK, Ky. — A Martin County man was arrested early Wednesday evening January 2 on drug charges after deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Department found meth-making materials in his home.

 

Andrew Vogeler, 40, of North Wolf Creek in the Pilgrim community of Martin County, was criminally charged with:

 

• MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, 1ST OFFENSE,

• TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE),

• WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE,

• DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

 

According to the arrest citation report, deputies executed and served a search warrant at Andrew Vogeler’s house after they received information regarding illegal drug activities there.

 

Once inside the residence, deputies found used packs of pseudoephedrine, digital scales and other items used in manufacturing meth including a generator bottle and a smoker bottle, as well as a “burn pot”.

 

According to the Martin County Sheriff John H. Kirk, Andrew Vogler was also charged with wanton endangerment as his 17-year old daughter was staying at the residence. The juvenile was placed with her grandmother by the Department of Social Services.

 

Andrew Vogeler was taken to and lodged at 11:57 P.M. in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville. He still remains there in custody.
