LOUISA POLICE OFFICER WINS STATE DUI ENFORCEMENT AWARD – AGAIN

 
SEVERAL LOCAL AREA LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AMONG HONORED AT GOVERNOR’S IMPAIRED DRIVING ENFORCEMENT AWARDS CEREMONY

Last week, on Wednesday, December 12, 2018, the 2018 Governor’s Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards ceremony was held at the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Lexington, Kentucky. 

Several law enforcement officers from around the area were honored for their work. Awards were presented to officers with the most impaired-driving arrests in each agency and Highway Safety All-Star Awards were presented to the top three in each division. 

A total of seven officers from eastern Kentucky were given awards for their DUI arrests count effort. Those officers were  the following:

* Division 1 

Deputy Justin Syzmchack (Floyd County Sheriff’s Department),

Sergeant Steven Wilburn (Louisa Police Department),

Officer Zachary Mitchell (Paintsville Police Department),

Sergeant Kevin Belcher (Pike County Sheriff’s Department).*

Division 2 – Deputy Jesse Mullin (Johnson County Sheriff’s

Department), Patrolman Bradley Calhoun (Prestonsburg Police

Department), officer Daniel Fields (Pikeville Police Department).
