Charity Bumgarner Lester, 88, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Jordan Center. 

Mrs. Lester was born February 17, 1930 in Holden, WV to the late Thomas and Sarah Perry Bumgarner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orba F. Lester, two brothers, Jesse and Leroy Bumgarner, and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte DeRose.

She is survived by two sons, Terry (Lee Ann) Lester of Greensboro, NC, Timothy Lester of Ironton, OH, one, daughter, Debbie (Bill) Colvin of Fort Gay, WV, five grandchildren, Tammy Perry, Tommy Lester, Julie DeRose, Andrew Lester, and Marylee Menshouse, and three great-grandchildren, Bridget Perry, Sadie Lester, and Audrey DeRose.

She worked in medical records at Huntington Hospital and Riverview Medical Clinic. The family would like to thank the staff at The Jordan Center for her care.  They also suggest that in lieu of flowers donations be made to www.parkisons.org, e-card (tlester.ccs@gmail.com.)

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Christian Cemetery in Fort Gay, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday, December 15 after 11:00 AM.

All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home
