ROWE SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS, WILL IT BE PROBATION?

Curtis Rowe sentenced to 30 Years, will it be probation? Final sentencing will be held on 12/14/18 to find out. All other defendants not only got probation, but a majority also got a pretrial diversion meaning if they complete their probationary period the felony will not be on their life long record.

Docket for end of Nov. 2018

 

Sentencing:

 

Richard Bowen, 28 pled guilty to Burglary, 3rd degree and an amended Persistent Felony Offender from 1st degree to 2nd degree and was sentenced to 10 years of supervised probation over 5 years with other conditions.

 

Final sentencing to be held on 12/14/18

 

 

 

Joann Collins, 50 pled guilty to Trafficking, a class D felony that was amended from Engaging In Organized Crime/Criminal Syndicate, a class B felony and was sentenced to 5 years of supervised probation with a pretrial diversion over a 5 year period.
Final sentencing to be held on 12/14/18.

 

 

 

Brandi Fannin, 36 pled guilty and was sentenced to 3 years for Complicity Possession of a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine, 3 years for Complicity Conspiracy To Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 2nd degree, 12 months for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd degree was dismissed along with Theft By Unlawful Taking or Pickpocketing. All charges to run concurrent and supervised over 5 years, 90 days of In Home Incarceration with other conditions.

 

 

 

 

Nicholas Hackney, 28 pled guilty and will be final sentenced on 12/14/18 on charges amended from Engaging In Organized Crime, a class B felony to 3 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance receiving 3 years on each count to run consecutive with probation over 5 years and other conditions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

William Joseph McCoy, 46 was sentenced to 2 1/2 years for Receiving Stolen Property Under 10,000, 2 1/2 years for Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine to run concurrent but consecutive to other cases. Persistent Felony Offender was dismissed.
Probation over 5 years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kevin Pack, 53 was sentenced to 3 years supervised probation with a pretrial diversion for Tampering With Physical Evidence, while time served was granted on Public Intoxication and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon.
Robert Parker, 35 Pled guilty and was sentenced to 3 years for Convicted Felon In Possession, of a Handgun to run concurrent with 18-CR-27, a seperate case.
Final sentencing to be held on 12/14/18.
Seperate Case: defendant received 4 years on an amended charge of Complicity Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, meth, Persistent Felony Offender was dismissed and 12 months for Complicity Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to run consecutive to 1st case. Final sentencing to be held on 12/14/18

 

 

 

 

Keith Penix, 27 pled guilty and was Sentenced to 5 years of supervised probation with other conditions on an amended charge of Engaging in Organized Crime.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Curtis Rowe, 43 pled guilty and will be final sentenced on 12/14/18 to 20 years for Complicity Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st offense with Persistent Felony Offender, 1st degree being dismissed. Concurrent to 17-CR-54
Seperate Case: Received 20 years for Complicity To Manufacture Meth, 1st offense and Persistent Felony Offender was dismissed. Concurrent to 17-CR-37
Seperate Case: Defendant was sentenced to 10 years for Complicity to Manufacture Methamphetamine with Persistent Felony Offender being dismissed.

 

 

 

 

Heather Savage, 41 pled guilty and will be final sentenced on 12/14/18 to 10 years for Complicity Manufacturing Methamphetamine and Persistent Felony Offender was dismissed.

 

 

 

 

Other Cases Heard:
Alexis Boyd, 24 case was reset for Engaging In Organized Crime/Criminal Syndicate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

James Burchett, 39 case was reset for Probation Revocation Hearing on Felony Case.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

William Cantrell, 34 had 3 cases with charges of Trafficking a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine, Tampering With Physical Evidence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Persistent Felony Offender and Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon on first case. 2nd case: Complicity Receiving Stolen Property, 2 counts and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st degree. 3rd Case: Convicted Felon In Possession of a Handgun, Possession of a Controlled Sub., 1st degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Disreguarding Stop Sign and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st degree.

 

All cases were reset for 1/11/19.

 

 

 

 

Alexis Carter, 28 was on the docket to be terminated from Drug Court. Defendant was not present and a bench warrant was issued.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jeffrey Copley, 45 was not present on Complicity Trafficking Methamphetamine, 1st degree and Complicity Possession of Marijuana.

Bench warrant was issued.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nathan Cox, 35 was arraigned on 1st degree Possession of Cocaine, 1st offense, Possession of Marijuana and Theft By Unlawful Taking, disp. shoplifting. Pretrial to be held on 12/14/18.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jose Cruz, 29 was granted a motion to dismiss 2 cases on Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st offense< 4 grams.

 

 

Paul Timothy Hackney, 36 reported to court on Engaging In Organized Crime and a trial date was set for 5/13/19.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April Harper, 34 was present for pretrial on Complicity Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine and Complicity Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was also present on a motion to set aside pretrial diversions on multiple cases: on Complicity Possession of a Controlled Substance, meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, defendant stipulates and will be final sentenced on 11/21/18. 2nd case: Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, defendant stipulates and will be sentenced on 11/21/18. 3rd case: A motion to set aside a pretrial diversion on Fraudulent Use of ID Card of Electronic Code for Benefits, 1st degree Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft By Unlawful Taking.

 

Defendant stipulates to new charge and will be sentenced on 11/21/18.

 

 

 

 

Donald Harris, 37 was present on 2 cases, Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine. Case was reset for 11/21/18.

2nd Case: reset for 11/21/18 for Complicity Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine. 

3rd Case: case was reset same day on Burglary, 2nd degree.

4th case: case was reset for same day Importing Heroin, 1st Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Cocaine.

 

 

 

 

Steve Meeks, 62 — case was reset 12/14/18 for Attempt Robbery, 1st degree, Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st degree, Wanton Endangerment, 1st degree on a Police Officer, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Operating a MV under the Influence of AL/Drugs and Peristent Felony Offender, 1st degree.

    Probation, probation, probation! Supervised my hind end! They fail every drug test, brake every stipulation and yet they still don’t go to jail. Probation is another word for case dropped in Lawrence county ky

    Isn’t the prosecutor the one that recommends what sentence they are willing to accept? So is it the prosecutor making recommendations for probation or is it the judge doing as he wants?

    Yeah seems like the ones who has done something not so bad is ones gets 5-10 years and these ones out stealing and doing drugs and bad crimes gets nothing but slap on the wrist…. What’s going on here?!?
