Nancy Ellen Conn, 57, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Lawrence County, KY.

She was born July 14, 1961 in Floyd County to the late Daisy Hurd-Lewis and Bill Jim Carr. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband David Conn; two sisters Jackie Jarrell and Kathy Sword; and one brother Frankie “Bob” Carr.

Survivors include her daughters Emma (Frankie) Pridemore of Lawrence County, KY and Carla (Jason) McKinney of Louisa, KY; three brothers Earl (Tina) Carr, Curt (Lacinda) Carr, and D.C. Carr; two sisters Lynn (Zendell) Sherman and Phyllis Little; five grandchildren Anna, Tyler, Ryan, Layla, and Cheyenne; a host of nieces and nephews that she thought of as her own and a very special friend Terry Gibson. 

Ellen was a homemaker. She always had a smile on her face , always made everyone smile and loved to cook a good home cooked meal for everyone to enjoy. Ellen fought a long hard battle with cancer and is no longer in pain. She will be very much missed by everyone that knew her. 

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 2, 2018 at noon at Smith Chapel Church with Brother Lowell Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Jarrell Cemetery. 

Visitation will begin Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 6:00PM at Smith Chapel Church until time of service on Friday. 

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Conn.
