TOLSIA HIGH HOMECOMING 2018

2018 Homecoming Queen Alexys Spaulding and Homecoming King Jacob Mollette

FORT GAY, W. VA. — After winning three straight #16 Tolsia ( 4-4 ) dropped their second in a row this one 57-32 to Tyler Consolidated ( 4-3 ) on Homecoming Friday night at Wilt Salmons Field.

The Rebels moved the ball up and down the field but 5 turnovers proved costly in the back and forth affair.

Devon Crum who left last week’s loss early came back and played well as he went over the 1,000 yard mark for the season with 246 yards on the ground in this one.

Crum also had two touchdown runs on the night, one from 4 yards out and one from 7 yards out.

Gavin Meadows, who was making his Tolsia debut finished with 88 yards, scored on a 7 yard touchdown and had 1 two point conversion, John Wilson had 63 yards and a 2 yard touchdown run. Peyton Watts had 2 two point conversion one on the ground and one from Tanner Copley through the air.

Tolsia continued to struggle with the pass as the Silver Knights QB Griffin Phillips was on point all game long. Tolsia will be off next week and then look to bounce back with a trip to #1 Pikeville, Ky before ending the season on November 2nd at home against Hannan.

Tolsia Coach Nick Crum

COACH’S COMMENTS

“… Best offensive team that we have played against all year. Not much else to say.”

“… Off week should do us some good. We need to finish strong.”
