James “Jimbo” Robertson, 52, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at his home.

Jimbo was born March 14, 1966 in Fort Gay, West Virginia to the late Ronald Robertson and Dora Lucille Cyrus-Robertson. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Ronald Allen Robertson and his nephew James Eric Bentley.

He is survived by his mother, Dora (Cyrus) Robertson; one brother, Randy Robertson; one sister, Debbie Bentley and husband Gary, a niece Michella Bentley, a nephew, Charley Bentley and wife Katelynn and a great nephew, Eric Layne Bentley.

He was a disabled steel worker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Smith Chapel Church in Louisa, KY with Rev. Noah Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Robertson Cemetery at Fort Gay, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, October 4 after 5:00 PM at the Smith Chapel Church. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.

    I went to school with Jimbo. We used to fight all the time but I never counted him an enemy, he just loved to fight. I’m sorry he died. We had some good times in fort gay high school.
