“Bringing Back Memories” was the theme of this year’s Septemberfest Parade and the Louisa DAR was all decked out for the occasion.

The Louisa Chapter of DAR met on September 25, 2018 in the cafe of Louisa FBC. The meeting was called to order by Regent Sabrina May. After opening Rituals, treasurer Evelyn DeBoard read the current finance report. Secretary Lynn Courtney read the minutes from August meeting.

DAR participated in SeptemberFest activities with a float and received the $300 1st place award and also a booth selling the Veterans-book volume I and II and the DAR cookbook. Over 300 books were sold. The funds will be used for the Good Citizen Scholarship that is given each Spring to a deserving senior at LCHS and for the many good causes the DAR is involved in through the year.
