ROAD CLOSED AT LICK CREEK FRIDAY

There have been many reports from citizens of Lawrence County about flooding and road conditions county-wide.

These are the ones that have been reported at this time:

 
* Due to high water Old Lick Road is closed to the water receeds.

* All officals are asking people to not drive on any road covered in water. Even if it looks innocent, it can still be very dangerous.

* As of this morning Rt. 201 North is completely blocked on the Webbville end due to a large mudslide from the continuous rainfall.

* Other roads that are potentially dangerous to travel on at this time is

* Belles Trace 1.2 miles from Ky. Rt. 1. There is a large break impacting about half the roadway as of 11pm Tuesday. There was the width of one lane opened.

Lawrence County Schools, Sheriff’s office, 911 and the Ambulance Services in Lawrence County have all been made aware of the situation and road crews are continuously working to make sure the roads are safely passible.

Water over the road in 2 places on Route 3 before you get to Savage Farms. A family reports says that there is another place between Long Branch to rt. 3399 on rt. 3 as well
