MY LAST FIX – Scared and severely dopesick, I stood right here in this very spot and frantically tore open the package of the last drug that I would ever ingest. That date was May 15th, 2014 & the location was a Speedway in Morehead. I tossed the plastic bag in the trash can that I am pointing at in this picture, walked outside, got in the car, & dad drove me the rest of the way to Belle Grove Springs. Little did I know that I was embarking on a journey that would change EVERYTHING. I had experienced many times in the past where I wanted to quit, but this time was different. After encountering the love & compassion of Christ through the staff & clients at Belle Grove Springs, I became a follower of Christ & am now living a resurrected life. I sure am thankful that I no longer have to chase drugs & alcohol anymore.
In this picture I am holding a ball that has the word TRUTH on it. My dad gave me this ball and told me that if I could begin telling the TRUTH that my life would get so much better… man, was he right! #TruthWins
