REPAIR WORK CLOSES KY 3394 (CAINS CREEK) IN LAWRENCE COUNTY TOMORROW, FRIDAY, AUGUST 10, FOR DRAINAGE PIPE REPLACEMENTS

LAWRENCE COUNTY (Thursday, August 9, 2018) – Highway District 12’s Lawrence County Maintenance Crew will replace two drainage structures on KY 3394, Cains Creek, near Steel Branch at mile points 2.2 and 2.5 tomorrow, Friday, August 10.

Work will start at 8:30 in the morning and will be finished by about 2 p.m. There will be long traffic delays while this work is under way. Motorists may want to find another route to use.

Todd Moran, Lawrence County superintendent, said these pipes are bad and causing the road to drop. When they are replaced, not only will the drainage be better, but the road surface will also be safer.
