1944 — 2018

 

Opal J. Burke, 73, of Catlettsburg, KY passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Community Hospice in Ashland, KY.

Opal was born September 19, 1944 in Lawrence County to the late Charlie and Beulah (Lester) Humphrey. She was a retired Home Aide for the FIVCO Service Agency. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Boone Burke; siblings Dixie Adams, Helen Stewart, Beatrice Baugh, Clarence Humphrey, and J.C. Humphrey.

Survivors include her brother Raymond Humphrey and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Ms. Burke will be Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Mike Green officiating. Burial will follow in the Humphrey Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 20th from 1:00 PM until time of service.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Burke. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at http://www.youngfuneralhomeinc.com.
