LOUISA, KY. — The Lawrence Co. Softball team improved to 23-6 with four wins in three days. The Lady Dawgs have won 8 in a row and 12 out of their last 14 games.

The Lady Bulldogs wrapped up 58th District play with a road win and finished 6-0 outscoring their District opponents 100-2 and will be the #1 seed next week.
Keyarah Bowen paced the offense with 3 hits, Ciana Bowen and Mackenzie Methax had 2 hits apiece, Halli Caudil, Kassidy Cavins, Amber Triplett, Abby Fletcher and Lillian Kinser had 1 hit each. Methax got the win in the circle and struck out five.

The Lady Bulldogs made quick work of the Lady Lions at home in a five inning mercy shortened victory.
Keyarah Bowen had 2 hits including a three run home run, Abby Fletcher smacked 3 doubles, Ashley Hayes 2 hits, Ciana Bowen, Brittany Shapaka and Kassidy Cavins 1 hit each. Ciana Bowen finished with 9 k’s and the victory in the circle.
Lawrence Co. 4 Estill Co. 3 ( Saturday )
The Lady Bulldogs traveled to Morehead and squeaked out a one run victory over the Lady Engineers as Abby Fletcher had 3 hits, Ciana Bowen 2 hits, Keyarah Bowen, Ashley Hayes Halli Caudill had 1 hit each.
Mackenzie Methax pitched well once again and had 6 K’s to get the win.
Lawrence Co. 6 Rowan Co. 3 ( Saturday )
Abby Fletcher continued on her torrid pace as she knocked in 5 runs. Ciana Bowen was once again good in the circle as the Lady Dawgs knocked off the Lady Vikings in Morehead.
The Lady Bulldogs will finish the regular season with a trip to Perry Co. Central Wednesday, Home vs Russell Thursday and Doubleheader Saturday at Ashland and Lexington Lafayette.

“… Mackenzie Methex really stepped it up to get the win vs Estill and Ciana Bowen threw a good game in the circle when we played Rowan. We only had 1 error in both games and when we do that we win.”
“… Abby Fletcher is swinging the bat really well right now, they couldn’t get her out this weekend. The ball looks like a beach ball to her. I like how we are going in the last week of the season. Still have work to do.”
