Fort Gay, W. Va. —  Tolsia Lady Rebel softball jumped out to big lead and cruised to a 20-10 victory over Hannan on Thursday evening at Rebel field to pick up their first win of the year.

Tolsia High School Softball seniors Rosie Sturgill and Hayley Bailey

Tolsia Freshman Isabella Simpkins was the winning pitcher with 6 K’s. She also homered earlier in the season for the first one at the new complex.

Kristen Dean went 1-1 with a single and 1 RBI, Nina Maynard also went 1-1 with a double.

“… We are happy to get our first win of the season. These girls have been improving every game so it’s nice to have it pay off for them with a win. Hopefully this will build our confidence and we’ll continue to improve as we head into the second half of our season.”
