LADY BULLDOGS FINISH OFF SPRING BREAK WITH A VICTORY, FACE #3 EAST CARTER TUESDAY

Myrtle Beach, SC. — The Lady Bulldogs finished up Spring Break at the Cal Ripken experience with a 3-2 mark and will come back to Kentucky sporting a 7-2 overall record.

The Lady Dawgs faced a tough team from the volunteer state and fell 6-2.

Keyerah Bowen finished with 2 hits, Ashley Hayes and Abby Fletcher 1 base knock apiece. Ciana Bowen finished with 5 strike outs in the loss.

In the last game of the annual spring break getaway the Lady Dawgs took care of the South Carolina team in grand fashion as Amber Triplett smacked an inside the park Grand Slam to pave the way for Lawrence Co. before the they venture back to Kentucky.

Ciana Bowen went the distance and struck out 15 batters in her way to another victory.

Mackenzie Methax and Ashley Hayes had 3 hits each, Halli Caudill , Abby Fletcher, Ciana Bowen, Keyerah Bowen, and Amber Triplett all had 2 hits apiece.

Lawrence Co. will return to action on Tuesday with a trip to Grayson to face Alabama signee Montana Fouts and the 10-0 East Carter Raiders who are ranked #3 in the state.

“… I always look forward to seeing teams that we don’t ever get to play. It gets us in early season pressure situations that will test the team’s character. The girls have a chance to come together as a group and build the most important part of any squad. Chemistry!!”
