Parks, Cyrus and Maynard play long ball
Louisa, Ky. — Lawrence Co. ( 5-0 ) Baseball Bulldogs used three home runs to help outscore Prestonsburg 30-1 (two games) in a 58th District sweep Tuesday night in the home opener.

Brad Parks hit a two run bomb to dead center field in a six run third inning to put the game away and Bryce Blevins went 6 innings, giving up only 1 unearned run, 3 hits and striking out 5 batters to pick up the win.
The Bulldogs finished with 10 hits and scored 4 runs in the first, 6 runs in the third and 1 run in the sixth to end the ballgame.
Tyler Maynard had 3 hits, scored a run and knocked in one, Dakota Shortridge went 2-2 with 2 runs and 1 RBI.
Peyton Cyrus had a hit, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. Hunter Crum had one hit and one RBI, Kade Sword singled and scored once, Jackson Feltner had 1 hit, Jarrett Fairchild scored a run, Austin Roe walked three times.
Lawrence Co. 19 Prestonsburg 0 ( Game 2 )
Peyton Cyrus led off the game with a home run to right field to get the Dawgs started in Game 2. Tyler Maynard hit a three run shot to put the game away. Kade Sword started and went one inning to pick up the win.
The Dawgs scored 3 in the first, 5 in the second, 6 in the third, 1 in the fourth and 4 in the fifth inning and finished with 10 hits in the mercy shortened win.
Jackson Feltner finished with 3 hits including a double, scored 2 runs and had 5 RBIs. Tyler Maynard knocked in 4 runs and scored 2 runs, Peyton Cyrus had 3 hits, scored 4 times and had 2 RBIs. Brad Parks scored 3 runs, Blue Fletcher scored twice, Jacob Fletcher had 1 hit and 1 RBI, Dakota Shortridge 1 RBI, Bryce Blevins 1 hit.
Lucas Maynard, Tyler Maynard, Jackson Feltner and Peyton Cyrus pitched 1 inning apiece and struck out 5 batters and walked 1.
Lawrence Co. will return to action Sunday night in the Cal Ripken experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
