Prater, now a convicted sex offender gets Probation and In Home Incarceration for 22 counts of Sexual Abuse, Rape and Sodomy.
Circuit Court was held on Friday, March 23rd and Methamphetamine was involved in over half of the cases heard in front of Judge John D. Preston. The meth trend is proving to be a bigger problem than opiates in our county at this time. After laws have prevented most of the prescription pill abuse, people are turning to more dangerous drugs such as Meth and Heroin.

Bobby Adkins Jr., 40 a motion for Expungement was granted.
Joseph Bentley, 38 pled guilty on 5 cases and will be final sentenced to:
(1st case) 2 years with other conditions on Flagrant Non Support.
(2nd case) The defendant will be sentenced to 2 years, on Flagrant Non Support.
(3rd case) Defendant will receive 2 years for Flagrant Non Support, with other conditions.
(4th case) Case amended from Felony Bail-jumping to misdemeanor Bail-jumping and time served upon completion of PSAP (substance abuse program) and

Sierra Caudill, 33 was arraigned on Knowingly Exploit Adult By Person Over/$300.

Steven Prater, 49 was sentenced to 6 years of supervised probation over 5 years and 180 days of in home incarceration. 3 years for each of 5 counts of Rape, 3rd degree, 3 years for each of 5 counts of Sodomy, 3rd degree, 3 years of each of 10 counts of Sexual Abuse, 1st degree. All charges 2-6 and 8-20 to run concurrent and the last Sexual Abuse, 1st degree is to run consecutive to other counts. Rape, 2nd degree and Sodomy, 2nd degree was dismissed.
Ronald Ratliff , 51 was present for a Probation Revocation Hearing. The defendant’s pretrial diversion was extended for 6 months.

Alisha Whitt, 34 was present for a Probation Revocation Hearing with witness Billy Slone of probation and parole.
Probation was revoked and defendant was remanded to the Department Of Corrections.
