1948 — 2018

 

Aley Edward Cyrus, 70, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 with his family by his side.

Eddie was born January 18, 1948 to the late John Bee and Shirley Mae (Thompson) Cyrus. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife Elizabeth Belle Thompson Cyrus and children Darrell Edward Cyrus and Cathy Cyrus.

Survivors include his wife Cora Jean Cyrus; children Harold Lee Cyrus of Fort Gay, WV, Connie Sue (Kevin) Harvey of Mansfield, OH, Brian Keith Cyrus of Fort Gay, WV, Annette C. Bell of Fort Gay, WV and Aley Edward Cyrus II of Fort Gay, WV; 19 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; brother John Bee Cyrus Jr. of Fort Gay, WV; sisters Lucille Robertson of Fort Gay, WV and Lolla Anderson of Columbus, OH; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Eddie was a member of the Smith Chapel Church and also attended New Beginnings Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Smith Chapel Church with Pastor Charlie Acord officiating. Burial will follow in the Cyrus Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until time of service at Smith Chapel Church. Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Cyrus.
