New cop in Town…

LOUISA, KY. (January 26, 2018) – The Louisa Police Department would like to congratulate and welcome Patrolman Shane James after his completion of the basic training with the Department of Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Academy.

At the Police Academy Ptl. James was awarded “Recruit of Distinction Award”, Academic Achievement Award”, “Fit for Duty Award” and the Kentucky Veterans Award”

 

Patrolman James, a member of the 488th class, completed the 23 week course today and received several awards for his accomplishments. Ptl. James was awarded “Recruit of Distinction Award”, Academic Achievement Award”, “Fit for Duty Award” and the Kentucky Veterans Award”. Following his graduation Ptl.

James will now receive 8 weeks of training and direction within the Louisa Police Department’s in house training by the department’s Police Training Officers.

“I am very proud of the success that Ptl. James has worked so hard for and how well he represented our department and the citizens of Louisa while a recruit” stated Chief Greg Fugitt.

Ptl. James brings the department back up to six full time officers.
