Wilburn Caudill

1937 — 2018

 

Wilburn Caudill, age 80, of Fort Gay, WV born August 14, 1937 died January 6, 2018.

Born in Johnson County KY to the late Elder Frank Caudill and Elva Pennington Caudill, he was also preceded in death by two sons Garfield and Adrian Dillon, one grandson Tommy Wholesinger, three brothers Lacy, Verlie, and Herbert Caudill; three sisters Annabell Peck, Ermie McCormick, and Ruth Newsome.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Dixie Lee Block Caudill of Fort Gay, WV; a brother Alvie Caudill of Louisa, KY; as well as his three daughters Brenda Winters (Roger) of South Point, OH, Linda Stillwell (Billy Skeens) of Fort Gay, WV, and Debbie Caudill (Eddie) of Fort Gay, WV; also survived by two sons Wilburn Caudill Jr. (Cindy) of South Point, OH and Joseph Lee Dillon of Barboursville, WV; he also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and friends. Wilburn was a devoted Christian and a faithful member of the Hurricane United Baptist Church in Boones Camp, KY.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Jan. 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Elder David Baldwin and Elder David Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in the Caudill Cemetery Fort Gay, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Monday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
