EDENS, BALLOU APPEAR IN LAWRENCE CIRCUIT COURT

Circuit Court Report

The docket remains full as Methamphetamine continues to dominate the list of charges. Former local Dr. Curt Edens goes before the judge to try and cut a deal along with several others. Ballou back in Lawrence County facing Murder charges after the death of his child.

Nicholas Ballou was arraigned on murder charges while in prison.Nicholas Ballou, 30 was arraigned on the charge of MURDER. A public defender was appointed.

He was convicted of harming his then two month old son causing the child to develop life altering disabilities and eventually death last year. 

Ballou is currently jailed at the state penitentiary.

 Thomas J. DaltonThomas Dalton Jr., 35 was present on a motion to amend bond on the charges of Sexual Abuse, 1st degree, victim under 12 years old and Persistent Felony Offender, 1st degree. The motion was denied and Bond remains at $20,000.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Freda DavisFreda Davis, 36 was present on the charges of Burglary, 3rd Degree, Tampering With Physical Evidence, Possession Of A Controlled Substance, 2nd Degree/Drug Unspecified, Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Theft By Unlawful Taking Or Shoplifting Under $500, And Possession Of Marijuana. Case was reset for 12-8-17.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Derick DelkDerick Delk, 39 pled guilty to the following charges and will be final sentenced on 12/22/17:  5 years for each of 3 counts of Complicity Receiving Stolen Property, 2 Years For Complicity Possession Of A Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 12 Months For Complicity To Possess Drug Paraphernalia, And For Persistent Felony Offender, 2nd Degree It Enhanced to 10 years. The sentence to be suspended after serving five years with the remainder being Probation. Will be final sentenced on 12/22/17.

James FitzpatrickJames Fitzpatrick, 23 was final sentenced to two years for COMPLICITY POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and 12 months concurrent for Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. The Probation will be unsupervised for 3 years and Drug Court.

Shannon JudeShannon Jude, 41 pled guilty and will receive 2 years for Complicity Possession Of A Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) and 12 months concurrent with unsupervised probation for 3 years based on Complicity To Possess Drug Paraphernalia, sentencing based on being a Ohio resident.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stacey Michelle KeeseeStacey Keesee, 35 was final sentenced to 5 years supervised probation with a pretrial diversion over 5 years and 180 days of in home incarceration with other conditions on the (amended charge) of Assault , 1st degree and 12 months to run concurrent on the charge of Criminal Trespass , 1st degree.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Richard A. Laney Richard Laney, 57 was arraigned on Operating A Motor Vehicle Under The Influence Of Alcohol/Drugs, Operating On Suspended/Revoked License, Failure To Wear Seatbelts, Failure To Surrender Revoked Operators License.

A public defender was appointed and bond remains the same at $5,000.

 

 

 

 

 

William J. McCoyWilliam McCoy, 45 was final sentenced to 4 years to serve on Complicity To Burglary, 3rd Degree and 5 Years Consecutive To Count One For A Total Of 9 Years For Complicity To Theft By Unlawful Taking Over $500.
