Hildred Thompson Artrip 

1921 — 2017

Hildred Thompson Artrip, 96, of Genoa, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 31, 2017 following a long illness.

Mrs. Artrip was born April 21, 1921 at Fort Gay, WV, the daughter of the late Pharoah and Ora Hunt Thompson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ruben Artrip who died in 1995 and two sons Billy Wayne and Roger Artrip. Hildred was a homemaker and of the Free Baptist Faith.

Survivors include two daughters; Virginia Porter of Genoa, WV and Loretta G. Wellman of Fort Gay, WV; and two sons, Teddy Artrip also of Genoa, WV and Gary Artrip of South Point, Ohio; 22 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Nov. 3rd at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Copley and Rev. Lemuel Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Wellman Cemetery Salt Petre, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
