OCTOBER 27, 2017

Tolsia ( 2-6 ) returns to action after a much need week off. The Rebel will face a very good Pikeville ( KY ) team that is 4-4 on the year but the Panthers have won three in a row.

Lawrence Co. ( 5-5 ) is off this week as they prepare for the first round of the playoffs next Friday night.

It is Senior night at Wilts Salmons Field for Tolsia as they play their final home game of the season. The Rebels have battled injuries all season long that has depleted an already then roster for Head coach Eric Crum and his staff.

With two games and the playoffs out of reach, all that is left is pride, playing for your school, your family and playing for a proud football community. Pikeville has battled a tough schedule but is playing really well right now. This is the Panthers’ last regular season game before the playoffs begin next Friday night.

BYE week for Bulldogs

The Bulldogs are deadlocked in a three way tie for second place in Class 3A District 6 with a 2-2 record along with Floyd Central and Pike Co. Central. Lawrence Co. will get to sit back tonight and see were the chips fall for next Friday night.

The Dawgs could be a two seed playing at home or a 4 seed and travel to Class 3A District 3 Champion Louisville Central ( 7-2 ). Other possible opponents could be Louisville Waggener ( 4-5 ) Henry Co. ( 4-4 ) Bardstown ( 3-6 ) or Thomas Nelson (2-7 ).

After all if the tie breakers shake out it will be playoff time in the Bluegrass.
