ARRESTS WERE DOWN IN THE BIG SANDY REGION THIS PAST WEEK FROM THE PREVIOUS WEEK, WITH THE STEEPEST DECLINE IN ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY, WITH THE NUMBER BEING JUST OVER HALF THIS PAST WEEK TO WHAT THEY WERE THE WEEK BEFORE.

IN THE PAST SEVEN DAYS FROM 12:01 A.M. OCTOBER 18 THRU 11:59 P.M. OCTOBER 24; OUT OF THE AT LEAST 94 INMATES BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, 7 OF THEM WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. PLUS ANOTHER LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENT WAS ARRESTED IN JOHNSON COUNTY.

THAT IS COMPARED TO THE PREVIOUS SEVEN DAYS FROM 12:01 A.M. OCTOBER 11 THRU 11:59 P.M. OCTOBER 17; OUT OF THE AT LEAST 112 INMATES BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE, 15 OF THEM WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY. PLUS ANOTHER SIX LAWRENCE COUNTY RESIDENTS WERE ARRESTED IN VARIOUS COUNTIES ( ONE IN JOHNSON COUNTY, ONE IN BOYD COUNTY, THREE IN MARTIN COUNTY, AND ONE IN CARTER COUNTY) .

HERE IS THE DAILY ARREST COUNT FOR THE BSRDC THIS PAST WEEK:

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 18: 12
THURSDAY OCTOBER 19: EIGHT
FRIDAY OCTOBER 20: 24
SATURDAY OCTOBER 21: 23
SUNDAY OCTOBER 22: NINE
MONDAY OCTOBER 23: 10
TUESDAY OCTOBER 24: EIGHT

Sammy L. MosleySammy L. Mosley, 50, of Fort Gay, West Virginia; was arrested on October 19, 2017, at 5:26 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Donald L PackDonald L, Pack, 39, of Louisa, was arrested on October 19, 2017, at 9:43 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Joshua Q. CyrusJoshua Q. Cyrus, 42, of Louisa, was arrested on October 20, 2017, at 12:49 A.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL, • DRIVING ON DUI SUSPENDED LICENSE -1ST OFFENSE, • FAILURE OF NON-OWNER OPERATOR TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE/SECURITY, 1ST OFFENSE, • NO REGISTRATION RECEIPT, • MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, 1ST OFFENSE, • RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY (FIREARM).

 

 

 

 

 

 

Judy L. HeightJudy L. Height, 40, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; was arrested on October 20, 2017, at 3:27 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • DOMESTIC ABUSE – DUTIES OF LAW ENFORCEMENT, • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL).

 

 

 

 

Craig AdamsCraig Adams, 29, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on October 20, 2017, at 5:18 P.M., by sergeant Chuck Jackson of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE (HEROIN), • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ashley TippieAshley Tippie, 27, of Tomahawk, Kentucky; was arrested on October 20, 2017, at 5:38 P.M., by a deputy of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: CHARGES UNKNOWN.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April JervisApril Jervis, 34, of Louisa, was arrested on October 23, 2017, at 2:20 P.M., by patrolman officer Steven Wilburn of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION SHOPLIFTING UNDER/$500.

 

 

 

 

 

Rans L. DamronRans L. Damron, 37, of Louisa, was arrested in Johnson County on October 20, 2017, at 12:31 P.M., by a trooper of the Kentucky State Police-Post #9-Pikeville, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.
