Wayne County Sheriff’s Department

Sheriff Rick Thompson made an announcement earlier today regarding a successful undercover investigation made by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Drug Enforcement Unit. Sheriff Thompson says that as a result of the investigation two men have been arrested. It is believed that the two suspects from Huntington have been supplying large quantities of Crystal Methamphetamine to Northern and Central Wayne County.

Wayne Co. drug bust evidence

Sheriff Thompson says that during the arrest officers seized Crystal Methamphetamine (ICE), pills, marijuana and cash. Arrested were Anthony Biggs and Phillip Osborne of Huntington.

Biggs was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver, Pseudoephedrine Altered, and Conspiracy to deliver 5 to 50 grams of Methamphetamine. Osborne was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver x 3, Aiding and Abetting, and Conspiracy to Deliver 5 to 50 grams of Methamphetamine.

Sheriff Thompson said that the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Drug Enforcement Unit was assisted by WCSD Road Officers and the Kenova Police Department. The two men were transported to the Western Regional Jail by a WCSD Road Officer.

Sheriff Thompson said that once again the cooperation of all departments involved was greatly appreciated.
