HOMECOMING AT LAWRENCE CO. AND THE REBELS HIT THE ROAD

It’s Football Friday night once again for Lawrence Co. and Tolsia. Unlike last week, the weather should be good at kickoff and then get a little chilly in the second half so grab a jacket and come out to watch your team play.

LC vs. Powell Co.

It is Homecoming Week at Lawrence Co. which is always a special time and the Bulldogs do it the right way. It is a week of celebration that brings the whole school together. Even though there are plenty of distractions during the week, the opponent tonight shouldn’t challenge the Bulldogs too much.

Lawrence Co. ( 2-1 ) has won two straight and should make it three as the Pirates of Powell Co. ( 0-3 ) make the long trip to Louisa. The Dawgs ran all over Prestonsburg last week as Noah West ran for over 400 yards in a 37-32 victory. West and the offense should rack up some nice numbers tonight and then enjoy a funnel cake or Bahama mama along with a lemonade after the victory at Septemberfest, the best little festival in Kentucky.

Tolsia vs. Lincoln Co.

Tolsia ( 1-1 ) coming off a hard fought 10-6 win over Buffalo, will travel to Hamlin to take on Lincoln Co. ( 1-1 ) for the first time in school history. The Rebel defense really played well last week as the defense led by Stone Sartin, Mason Mann, Brent Setzer, Steven Vanhoose and Blake Conn spearheaded the win. The Panthers are coming off a 27-0 victory over Roane Co. and will be a challenge for the Rebels who must take care of the football to have any shot tonight. Tolsia turned the ball over six times last week and still survived.
