Sheriff Rick Thompson announced the arrest yesterday of six suspects following investigations by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Drug Enforcement Unit.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department DEU executed a search warrant at the residence of Lisa Hutchinson in the Westmoreland area of Wayne County. Hutchinson is charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy. Hutchinson was currently out on bond for multiple drug felony charges by the WCSD Drug Enforcement Unit from June of this year. Additional charges are pending against Hutchinson who was taken to the Western Regional Jail awaiting arraignment.
WCSD Road Deputies along with the Ona Drug Task Force and the US Marshals Task Force also arrested Karen Adkins of Spring Valley, Charles (Chuck) Willis of Huntington, and Timothy Rakes of Westmoreland. Adkins was charged with Conspiracy and Possession of a Controlled Substance x4, Charles (Chuck) Willis was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver x 2, Rakes was charged with Delivery of Controlled Substance and Possession with intent to Deliver.
In addition to the arrests, Tina McCloud turned herself in to authorities. She was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Conspiracy.
Randy Curry, 39, who is currently incarcerated, had additional charges of Conspiracy and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is Incarcerated at the WRJ on a $30,000 cash bond
Sheriff Thompson acknowledged the hard work and interagency cooperation as well as the dedication of all officers involved. He thanked the communities involved for their diligence and cooperation.
