Forest Philip Diamond

1957 — 2017

Forest Philip Diamond, 60, of Louisa, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at Saint Frances Hospital in Charleston, WV.

Everyone around Louisa and beyond knew him as ‘Flip’. He was born June 9, 1957 in Louisa, Ky. to the late Hubert and Ruby Burchett Diamond. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Wayne Alan Diamond.

Flip was a founding member of the Fallsburg Volunteer Fire Department, a retired lineman with the Union IBEW, and a former employee of Heck’s in Louisa.

Flip rededicated his life to the Lord and was baptized in November of 2014. Flip had a heart dedicated to helping others. He would deliver food or anything needed to those in need and made sure those around him had more than enough. He would buy extra things at Walmart or Food City to deliver to his friends or those in need. He wanted to make sure people enjoyed life. Flip enjoyed community and church events and loved the fellowship with others. He would often take food to those who would be shut in and couldn’t make it to the events. He will be greatly missed by our community and it is a void that will not be able to be filled.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Hughes, Bobby Workman, and Glen Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Woods Cemetery in Fallsburg, Ky.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
