Wetzel ‘Danko’ Watts

1946 — 2017

Wetzel “Danko” Watts, 70, of Fort Gay, WV passed away peacefully Thursday, July 13, 2017 at his home in Fort Gay. 

Mr. Watts was born December 20, 1946 in Fort Gay, WV, son of the late Woodrow and Nancy Ellen (Roseberry) Watts.

He is survived by one daughter, Brandy Saunders of Fort Gay, WV and one son, Justin Watts of OH;  five sisters: Ruth Watts of Fort Gay, WV, Geneva Cole of Fort Gay, WV, Georgia Casey of Fort Gay, WV, Della Watts of Fort Gay, WV and Aline Watts of Fort Gay, WV, and one brother: Donald Watts of Fort Gay, WV; He also has four grandchildren, Emily,Justin,Sadie, and Mary Jane Watts; five nieces and nephews, Kathy Murison, Norma Pack, Robert Watts, Nancy Watts, and Donny Cole; many cousins and great-nieces and great-nephews, and one special cousin, who was like a brother, Eddie Jackson.

Wetzel was a hard-working timber worker his whole life, who made numerous life-long friends in his bosses and co-workers.  He loved his family and friends and was always happy when anyone came to visit.  He will be loved and missed by all that knew him.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 15 at Robertson Cemetery, Hampton Ridge Rd, Fort Gay, WV with Bro. Glen Newsome officiating.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
