ACTC ANNOUNCES DEAN’S LIST

Ashland Community and Technical College has named 35 Lawrence County students to the dean’s list for spring semester 2017. Dean’s list students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) on at least 12 credit hours in courses numbered 100 and above. The students are listed below by city of residence.

Blaine: Brian Lee Hooley.

Louisa: Brittany Lauren Aberegg, Alison Danae Bartlett, Amber Michelle Belcher, William Blayne Brewer, Courtney Rena Burchett, Jeffery Davis Burchett, Jaime Nicole Bush, Joshua Ned Compton, Ronald Lee Conway, Kelly Leanne Derossett, Shannon Franklin Emory, Michael Ray Halcomb, Lydia Marie Heston, Virgie Jordan, Nicholas Morgan Miller, Jerry Allen Mills, Rachel Ann Mills, Brittany Nix, Laura Vatasha Perkins, Brandel Carl Pritchard, Tamara Reynolds, Jonathan Tyler Smith, Rebecca L. Open House is July 11

Ashland Community and Technical College will have an open house and enrollment event from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 11 at the College Drive Campus in Ashland.

The “Why Wait? Go2ACTC” event will include information about programs, financial aid, online classes and transfer options. Advising, admission and financial aid representatives will be available to talk about career options, the application process and ways to pay for college.

Information will also be available about the new Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship, which provides free tuition for programs in health care, advanced manufacturing, transportation/logistics, business services/information technology and construction/trades.

The open house will include campus tours, refreshments and giveaways. The first 50 potential students, new or returning, will receive a free movie ticket to KYOVA 10 Theater.

High school students and their parents, recent high school graduates and adults considering college for advancement are invited come and learn about dozens of programs to help them prepare for high skill careers or for university transfer as a junior.

Registration for fall is ongoing, and the open house will help prospective students learn how to get enrolled. ACTC offers full semester and bi-term (half-semester) classes this fall. July 31 is the application deadline, and classes start Aug. 14. Class schedules and admission forms are online at ashland.kctcs.edu.
