HEAVY NUMBER OF ARRESTS IN THE COUNTY THE PAST WEEK, WITH ADDITIONAL ARRESTS OF LAWRENCE RESIDENTS IN NEIGHBORING COUNTIES; A TOTAL OF 20 ARRESTS IN LAST EIGHT DAYS, WITH 5 ADDITIONAL ARRESTS IN BORDERING COUNTIES.

OUT OF THE AT LEAST 98 INMATES BOOKED AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER IN PAINTSVILLE IN THE EIGHT DAYS FROM 12:01 A.M. JUNE 13 THRU 11:59 P.M. JUNE 20, 20 OF THEM WERE FROM LAWRENCE COUNTY, WITH 5 MORE IN NEARBY COUNTIES (4 IN JOHNSON COUNTY, AND ONE IN MORGAN COUNTY). 

AT WEDNESDAY MORNING, JUNE 21, 2017, AT 6 A.M.; THERE WERE 261 INMATES THAT WERE BEING INCARCERATED AT THE BSRDC FACILITY,  OF WHICH ITS MAXIMUM DESIGNED CAPACITY IS 225 INMATES.

McCoy, 45, of Louisa, was arrested on June 13, 2017, at 2:49 A.M., by deputy Mack Wilhite of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY UNDER/$10,000, • BURGLARY, 3RD DEGREE, • THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING OR DISPOSITION ALL OTHERS $500 OR MORE BUT UNDER/$10,000.

 

 

 

Shaine J. ThompsonShaine J. Thompson, 20, of Louisa, was arrested on June 13, 2017, at 10:12 A.M., by deputy Chuck Jackson  of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELTS, • LICENSE TO BE IN POSSESSION.

 

 

 

 

Trudy HarlessTrudy Lee Harless, 35, of Louisa, was arrested on June 13, 2017, at 8:28 P.M., by an officer of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF LEGEND DRUG, • POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE – DRUG UNSPECIFIED, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

 

 

 

 

Amy HodgeAmy Hodge, 32, Wayne, West Virginia; was arrested on June 14, 2017, at 3:54 P.M., by Sheriff Garrett Roberts of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (< 2 GRAMS HEROIN), • PROMOTING CONTRABAND – 1ST DEGREE.
