Robert Wayne Colvin Sr.

1937 — 2017

Robert Wayne Colvin Sr., 79, of Louisa, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. 

Mr. Colvin was born June 17, 1937 in Oil Springs, KY. He is the son of the late Bruce and the late Gae Collins Colvin. 

Mr. Colvin was a retired Surface Coal Miner, a member of the Apperson Lodge #195 and a member of the Lightouse Free Will Baptist Church. 

“Bob” is survived by one daughter: Vickie Gravely and husband David of Fuquay-Varina, NC and two sons: Robert Colvin Jr. and wife Jamie of Niagara Falls, NY and Gary Colvin and wife Rhonda of Louisa, KY. Mr. Colvin also leaves behind a step daughter, Brenda Ward and husband Donnie also of Louisa, two sisters: Ann Butcher and Sue Mullins,  both of Louisa  and two brothers: Charles Colvin of Canton, OH and Bill Colvin of Fort Gay, WV; Bob’s life was also blessed with 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Colvin  is preceded in death by his wife Eva Colvin, and two siblings: Bruce Colvin Jr. and Mabel Robinette.

Friends may call on Monday June 12, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa Ky.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 13th, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bevins officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
