Fort Gay, W. Va. — On Thursday and Friday of last week Tolsia High School’s Rebel Arena played host to one of the longest running summer basketball camps in the area this week. The Rebel Pride Basketball Camp has been a staple for hoopsters of all ages across the region for 18 years. The camp is hosted by Tolsia High School and directed by longtime Lady Rebel Head Coach Ric Morrone. The camp ended this year’s run on Friday June 2nd and was once again a success with over 40 campers ranging in age from 5yrs to 15 yrs. old.
The Rebel Pride Camp is a fundamental and skill development camp that also caters to high level players wanting to take their game to the next level. The focus on shooting, offensive attack moves as well as agility, team play and ball handling offers a wide variety of skills for all player’s needs.
Camp Director Tolsia Lady Rebel Head Coach Ric Morrone said, “This is agreat camp that began as an affordable camp that provides high level instruction for our area players. Mark Cisco was an integral part of the mission of this camp and we are continuing on with the vision that he had for the Rebel Pride Camp. It would not be here without his hard work and support of the camp over the years. Our players, staff and the community look forward to this as a celebration of basketball each year.”
