METH-DUO DISCOVERED AFTER THEY WERE FOUND PASSED OUT IN CAR WITH MOTOR RUNNING IN LOUISA

A Martin County couple was charged with trafficking meth after being found passed out in their vehicle.

According to the arrest report, just after 8 P.M. Monday night, May 8, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department responded to an emergency call of a man and a woman passed out in their vehicle in Louisa.

Upon the arrival of sheriff’s deputies at the scene, they found 26-year old Ashley M. Horn and 26-year old Willis G. Horn, both from Inez, apparently passed out inside their vehicle while it was still running.

Ashley Horn was allegedly found passed out in the passenger seat with money in her lap. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found over one-thousand dollars in cash, two syringes, a set of scales, approximately 2 grams of what is believed to be meth and other narcotics as well as a 9mm handgun.

Both Ashley and Willis Horn were arrested and charged with trafficking and other drug related charges. They were lodged at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, with Willis Horn being booked at 10:06 P.M. and Ashley Horn then booked at 10:17 P.M.

Ashley M. Horn was charged with: • PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLLED SUB(EXCLUDES ALCOHOL), • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), • TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS.

Willis G. Horn was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE – (> OR = 2 GRAMS METHAMPHETAMINE), • CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON.

Both of the Horns were released soon thereafter on Bail Bonds on Tuesday afternoon.

The case remains under investigation by the Lawrence County Sheriff Department.
