Alice Lambert Kitts

1917 — 2017

Alice Lambert Kitts, of Fort Gay, WV went to be with her Lord on her 100th birthday April 5, 2017, with her family by her side. Alice was born April 5, 1917 in Radnor, WV a daughter of the late James and Laura Thompson Lambert.

Alice retired after many years of service for Dobyns Cleaners in Louisa, Ky.  She was a faithful member at New Friendship Baptist Church. She had a love for animals, and truly loved to garden, can vegetables,  and play bingo. Alice loved visiting with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband, Strother Fitzpatrick and her second husband Herbert Kitts; one sister, Pearl Lambert Kitts; brother, James Lambert Jr.

Survivors include, niece, Peggy Lambert Noe of Franklin, Ky.; step daughters, Barbara Kitts Brown and Jeannie Kitts Grant both of Las Vegas, Nevada; 6 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren; 4 great nieces and nephews, 7 great great nieces and nephews.

Alice’s belief on having a long blessed life was “doing unto  others  as you would have them do unto you”.

Celebration of life services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, April 7, 2017 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at the Fitzpatrick Cemetery, Clifford, Ky.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until time of service on Friday at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
