John Bert Dean 

1930 — 2017

John Bert Dean, 87, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Friday March 24, 2017 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital following a long illness.

Bert was born March 21, 1930 at Wayne, WV the son of the late Henry and Pricie Pack Dean. He was a self-employed painter and highway construction worker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Jim Dean and three sisters Beatrice Higgins, Zora Lee Billups, and Ona Trogdon.

Survivors include a daughter Jonlee Dean; two grandsons; a sister Bonnie Dean of Louisa; a niece Ruby Hayes also of Louisa; three nephews; and a special caregiver Mary Smith of Fort Gay, WV.

Funeral services will be held on Monday March 27 at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Bailey officiating.

Friends may visit the family on Monday March 27 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
