Week 6 Organizers Comments
Wow! What a week is all I can say. The friendships and relationships being formed by this league really shined this week. We were a little short-handed on staff, but the people we have encountered through this process stepped up and we didn’t miss a stat.
The first game had Danny’s Diaper Dandies up against Bank $hots. The Dandies came to play and put on quite the show with an impressive 26 point win.
The second game was battle of age vs. youth in 50 Shades of Gray Hair against Prime Time. 50 Shades used their “wisdom” to exploit Prime 
Time’s lack of a big man. Big man Marty “The Tank” Marcum led 50 Shades to their win with 25 points and 21 rebounds. A big shout out to Marty “The Tank” Marcum who just had rotator cuff surgery this week. Rumor has it that he is so tough that they had to use two scalpels just to break the skin.
Game 3 was a nail biter. A really good Forfeit team gave the undefeated Dawg Pound all they could handle. Dustin Copley hit a hot streak and poured in 21 points. JJ James and Aaron Honn would not be knocked out as both got hot in the final stretch. Dawg Pound came back in the final two minutes to win a close one at 63-60.
Game 4 was our first forfeit of the year with only two of the Mighty Hawks players showing up. Louisa Legends won by default.
Game 5 would show an Average Joes team starting to gel. They had 4 players score in double digits led by Josh Wilks and Daniel Ward with 16 points apiece. Average Joes defeated Rec Center Ballers 64-38.
Game 6 was no let down. Triple Threat came in knowing that Twin City Bucks were going to be short-handed. Shawn Thompson pounded in 24 points to make sure TCB would stay undefeated.
That wraps up our weekly review. Special thanks to everyone who came out to watch and especially to those who stepped up to help this week. Most of all we thank God for the opportunity to operate this league and see how He is working in our community.
