LCHS WINS DISTRICT ACADEMIC FOR THE FOURTH STRAIGHT YEAR

2017 62nd District Overall Champions Lawrence Co. Bulldogs  62nd District Quick Recall Champions Lawrence Co. Bulldogs

Louisa, Ky. — This past Saturday Lawrence Co. high school won the 62nd District Academic championship for the fourth straight year. East Carter and West Carter also competed to see which teams and individuals would advance on to Regional competition.

Lawrence Co. won the quick recall tournament by going 3-0 with two wins over East Carter and one victory over West Carter. East Carter finished as runner up.

Lawrence Co. also took first place in every individual category. 

LCHS Academic Coach Eddie Dixon congratulating LC's Shaylon Moore for winning the JB excellence in Mathematics award.  LCHS Principal Christy Moore and LC Superintendent Robbie Fletcher also looking on.The award was in honor of Mr. John Baumgardner who passed away in October of 2016. He was a highly regarded educator in both Carter County and Lawrence County School districts.

This certificate is awarded to the highest scoring mathematics in the 62nd District Governors Cup competition.
