Lawrence man gets 23 years as Persistent Felony Offender

 

DATE: 1-19-17 — The Lawrence Co. State Courts building was full on Friday the 13th being the first court session of 2017. Hon. Judge Preston handed down steep sentences as the docket was full of drugs, theft and one man received 23 years in prison on Persistent Felony Offender enhancement.

 

Richard A. BowensRichard Bowen, 26 was arraigned on BURGLARY, 1ST DEGREE, ASSAULT, 1ST DEGREE, ESCAPE, 2ND DEGREE AND PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER. A public defender was appointed and Pretrial date set for 2-10-17.

 

 

 

 

 

 Vanessa Renae DillonVanessa Dillon, 28 was present on a PROBATION VIOLATION ON A FELONY OFFENSE. A hearing was set for 1-27-17.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Liberty Drinkard, 41 was arraigned on FLAGRANT NON SUPPORT AND PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER. A public defender was appointed and pretrial was set for 2-10-17.

Count 1 & 3 to run concurrent, Count 5 & 6 to run concurrent and count 4 consecutive probated as stated in the judgment.

 

Debra Earle, 60 was sentenced on the following charges:
COMPLICITY TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (3 YEARS)
COMPLICITY 1ST DEGREE POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (3 YEARS) COMPLICITY FRAUDULENT USE OF ID CARD OF ELECTRONIC CODE FOR BENEFITS (5 YEARS) COMPLICITY DRUG PARAPHERNALIA- BUY/POSSESS (12 MONTHS) COMPLICITY DRUG PARAPHERNALIA- BUY/POSSESS (12 MONTHS)
All charges to run concurrent, Probation Supervised 5 years.

 

 

Shawn A. FitzpatrickShawn Fitzpatrick, 21 Was present for a MOTION TO SET ASIDE PRETRIAL DIVERSION. A hearing was held and sentencing was set for 1-27-17.
