RONALD JACKSON ROBINSON HAD LENGTHY CRIMINAL RECORD INCLUDING LATEST ARREST EARLIER THIS MONTH
HE WAS A CONVICTED FELON, THEREFORE IT WAS ILLEGAL FOR HIM TO OWN A FIREARM, WHICH HE HAD DURING HIS FATAL ENCOUNTER WITH HIS FATHER.

Accused killer Ronald Jackson Robinson, 40, died several hours after being shot multiple times by his 68 year old father, after the younger Robinson allegedly assaulted his him, in what turned out in the end to be a fatal mistake by Ronnie Robinson.
Robinson was fatally shot by the father after first getting into a verbal and then a physical altercation with his son, but then escalated when the younger Robinson retrieved a shotgun, opened fire outside his father’s house, and then broke through the door, were he was then shot by the father.
It was illegal for Ronald Robinson to possess/own any kind of firearm. for not only was he a convicted felon, but also a registered sex offender in Kentucky, having been found guilty on multiple statutory rape charges in Carter County a decade ago. He also had numerous arrests before and after his Carter County sex convictions. He had been arrested nine times since September 2003, that led to Robinson to do two separate stints in state prison in the last several years, one of which was for violating his probation on his rape and other conviction charges.

On November 3, 2003, Ronald Robinson was arrested in Carter County on the charges of: • BURGLARY-2ND DEGREE-FORCED ENTRY-RESIDENCE, • ASSAULT-3RD DEGREE-POLICE/PROBATION OFFICER-IDENTIFY WEAPON, • CRIMINAL MISCHIEF-3RD DEGREE, • RESISTING ARREST.
On March 2, 2005 and again on May 10, 2005, Ronald Robinson was arrested by the Carter County Sheriff Department on: CHARGES UNKNOWN.
On May 15, 2006, Ronald Robinson was arrested by the Kentucky State Police on five separate charge counts of • RAPE-3RD DEGREE.
On July 25, 2012, Ronald Robinson was arrested in Rowan County, Kentucky by Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole, on the charge of: • PAROLE VIOLATION (FOR TECHNICAL VIOLATION).
