THERE HAS BEEN AN EBB AND FLOW FOR THE RECENT NORMAL WEEKLY AVERAGE FOR THE SURROUNDING AREA COUNTIES AND THE NUMBER OF ARRESTS IN LAWRENCE COUNTY SPIKED SIGNIFICANTLY ABOVE THEIR RECENT WEEKLY AVERAGE FOR THE FIRST FIVE DAYS OF DECEMBER, THE ARREST NUMBERS DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY FROM THIS PAST WEEKEND INTO THE FIRST HALF OF THE SECOND WEEK OF DECEMBER, BUT HAS PICKED SOME AGAIN IN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS. MEANWHILE, LAWRENCE COUNTY ARRESTS WERE SAME NUMBER AS PREVIOUS REPORT PERIOD, BUT IT TOOK TWICE THE NUMBER OF DAYS TO GET TO THAT SAME TALLY.
THERE HAS ALSO BEEN AN EBB AND FLOW AT THE BIG SANDY REGIONAL DETENTION CENTER ONCE AGAIN, AS FOR THE PAST WEEK AND AND A HALF, THE BSRDC HAS BEEN RIGHT AT, JUST BELOW, OR WELL ABOVE THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF INMATES IT CAN HOLD, WHICH IS 225. IT IS NOW NEAR FULL CAPACITY AGAIN, AS IT IS AT 222 INMATES AS OF 7:30 A.M., FRIDAY, DECEMBER 16.
From 12:01 A.M., December 6, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., December 15, 2016; 101 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 101 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in the last 10 days, 14 were from Lawrence County.
From 12:01 A.M., December 1, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., December 5, 2016; 56 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 56 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in that 5 day period, 14 were from Lawrence County.
From 12:01 A.M., November 25, 2016 to 11:59 P.M., November 30, 2016; 60 arrested individuals were brought into the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville, Kentucky. Out of the 60 arrested individuals brought to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in that 6 day period, 9 were from Lawrence County.
The number of people booked each day from December 1 thru December 5 at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville was as the following: TUESDAY-DECEMBER 6: NINE, WEDNESDAY-DECEMBER 7: 18, THURSDAY-DECEMBER 8:17, FRIDAY-DECEMBER 9: 10, SATURDAY-DECEMBER 10: FOUR, SUNDAY-DECEMBER 11: FIVE, MONDAY-DECEMBER 12: SEVEN, TUESDAY-DECEMBER 13: EIGHT, WEDNESDAY-DECEMBER 14: 12, THURSDAY-DECEMBER 15: 11.

Dale E. Moncer, 65, of Louisa, was arrested on December 6, 2016, at 12:05 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE.
Karol J. Moore, 69, of Ulysses, Kentucky; was arrested on December 7, 2016, at 1:20 P.M., trooper Forrest Newsome, of the Kentucky State Police, and was charged with: • OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE UNDER/ INFLUENCE ALCOHOL/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1ST OFFENSE, • SPEEDING 18 MPH OVER LIMIT.
Christopher Paul Mullett, 37, of Louisa, was arrested on December 7, 2016, at 1:45 P.M., by deputy Karl Adkins, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Amy R. Gantt, 27, of Prichard, West Virginia; was arrested on December 7, 2016, at 1:51 P.M., by deputy Karl Adkins, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Alexis P. Carter, 26, of Prichard, West Virginia; was arrested on December 7, 2016, at 1:56 P.M., by deputy Karl Adkins, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Bradley E. Parsley, 38, of Louisa, was arrested on December 8, 2016, at 12:09 P.M., by chief deputy Mark Wheeler, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • FUGITIVE FROM ANOTHER STATE – WARRANT REQUIRED.
Clyde McKenzie, 56, of Louisa, was arrested on December 8, at 11:07 P.M., by deputy Chuck Jackson, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged, via a grand jury indictment, with: • KNOWINGLY EXPLOIT ADULT BY PERSON >$300.
Reatha R. McKenzie, 75, of Louisa, was arrested on December 8, at 11:16 P.M., by deputy Dwayne Bowen, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged, via a grand jury indictment, with: • KNOWINGLY EXPLOIT ADULT BY PERSON >$300.
James M. West, 42, of Louisa; was arrested on December 10, 2016, at 2:31 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • ASSAULT, 4TH DEGREE (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) MINOR INJURY.
Joseph McCoy, 19, of Louisa, was arrested on December 7, 2016, at 10:41 A.M., by deputy Karl Adkins, of the Lawrence County Sheriff Department, and was charged with: • SERVING BENCH WARRANT FOR COURT.
Amanda Thomas, 34, of Louisa; was arrested on December 14, 2016, at 12:51 A.M., by patrolman officer Hunter James, of the Louisa Police Department, and was charged with: • OPERATING ON SUSPENDED OR REVOKED OPERATORS LICENSE, • DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – BUY/POSSESS, • TRAFFICKING IN LEGEND DRUGS – 1ST OFFENSE.
